How about playing the Chzo Mythos quatrilogy. It holds the games: 5 days a stranger, 7 days a skeptic, Trilby’s notes, and 6 days a sacrifice (in order to be played). free to download and easy to find through google.
Defender, arcade classic. Notoriously hard but fun for the challenge. Not sure how much air-time you can pull playing it since you can get ripped in minutes or moments but with a bitta practice you might be able to play a few games n make up a timeslot.
(easily obtained + requires MAME, arcade emu)
Diablo 2 on hard or whatever difficulty was all roguelike and only gave you the one death. Been a while since I hit up D2, but the sheer paranoia of dying and it all being over at any moment would be entertaining for me haha.

It’s a slight mod of Sonic 2 on Genesis. Only suitable for a drunk night though. You’ll see what I mean when you see what’s been changed.
