Kuoushi here, back in the stupidly high temperatures of Texas. This is pretty terrible and I wish I’d never come back home, for more reasons than the heat. In any case, we’re going to continue streaming Mother 3 tonight, August 4th! We’ll keep going with the stream as usual and I don’t care if there’s only 4 people watching. Honestly, that’s probably all that’ll be there. Fun, fun.

Anyway, not so good to be back, but I’m back and let’s do this shit.

So, if you were in Toronto last night you might have caught a glimpse of a fancy pair walking about dressed like this. Just saying.

So, as you guys know I’ll be out of town from July 21st to August 3rd. Normally that just means that we’ll all kind of scatter and do whatever, then maybe come back to the page and see what’s going on later if we remember. Kind of a waste when we have such a nice little community here, so I figured why not use our Steam group to schedule some game nights to keep us all hanging around and having fun even when I’m not streaming.

That being the case, I tried to schedule as many free games as I could, but ultimately some nights will require you to have bought the game to play along with us. Sad, but yeah, it happens. To see a list of all the events with their times (midnight, of course), go to the Steam group here.

I suggest joining it as it will popup a reminder when it’s time to play, and it’ll tell you what to play.

Hadn’t scheduled any for August, and I figured I’d give you guys Sundays off. But anyway, if you can make some, great! If you can’t, hop into Vent and yell at the people who are playing. You know the drill. Also hopping into chat at midnight some nights to see if anyone’s around that you’d like to talk to would be another thing to do. Not sure if that’ll work out, but it’s something.

Now I can’t say that I don’t own any of my own apparel line.

I’ve decided that 2 hours a night is too much of a time commitment for me. That does not mean I’ll stop streaming. I’m thinking of changing the length of my stream to be only an hour per night. Sure we won’t cover as much ground per game, but it will be a lot easier for me to continue doing this. Also, a one hour stream would be easier for viewers who don’t want to commit two hours a night to see their favorite games played, and played awfully. I think it’s an improvement to be honest. We’ll see.

I’ll get a poll up soon here. If you don’t see a poll before stream time, that might mean I’m taking at least one night off. Check the twitter feed before the stream to see what’s going on.

Some things have come up in my life and I think after we finish Silent Hill I’ll take some time off. I have things I should be doing so this would be a good way to get them done. This isn’t a done deal yet, but we’ll just have to see how I feel when we get to the end of the game.

All of them. The poll was more to decide what order we’d play the games in rather than which game we play next. So, that means tonight we start on Resident Evil. Once we’re done with that we will play Parasite Eve, followed by Clock Tower, and finally Silent Hill. Good times will be had. Many people will scream like little girls. Many little girls will scream like people.

All in all, I think it’ll be a good escape from the standard trudging through RPGs.

Quick summaries and links to the games on the polls for those of you who would rather research your votes than just pick willy-nilly.

Breath of Fire 2 (SNES). It’s uh, it’s an RPG about dragons. I think.

Shining Force 2 (Genesis). More of a tactical game. You get dudes on your team and fight large groups of baddies on a map thing.

Illusion of Gaia (SNES). Action RPG about stuff. I’m assuming it’s all “I WANNA BE ZELDA” and I hope that it isn’t.

Dragon Warrior IV (NES). The amazing Dragon Quest (Warrior) series’ final installment on the NES. I’ve never played it, and we have yet to play an RPG from the NES era.
